Mountain Breezes

I really just love this pattern-- the Blooming Nine Patch from Tradition With a Twist. But in this case, it was actually Keith who suggested not just the pattern, but also the theme of this wedding quilt. Rich and Angela are both very active people who love the outdoors... hiking, camping, climbing... Rich even proposed to Angela on a snowy mountain. So it seemed only fitting that the concept for their quilt would be a mountain. In the center is the sky and the snowy peak that blends into the grey rock around the apex which breaks into the mossy rocks before the tree line and the forests at the base.

The top is quilted with blustering, curvy breezes.
