Ingrid & Jason's Wedding Quilt

Ingrid and Jason's Wedding Quilt

Ingrid and Jason's Wedding Quilt Wedding Quilt EQ planThis is a quilt I made in commemoration of Ingrid and Jason's nuptuals. I designed the quilt's basic layout using Electric Quilt (the image to the left is from my EQ program). I based the color scheme on their wedding color-- periwinkle-- and bought fabric. Then I prepared blocks for guests to sign by cutting them to size, ironing wax paper to the back of each (for stability) and then drawing lines across the paper so as to provide a guide. I purchased multitudinous Pigma pens (fabric safe and permanent). At the wedding, I invited guests to sign blocks for the bride and groom. With blocks in hand, I revisited the original design and adapted it for the actual number of completed blocksand added some focus blocks with photos, quotes, and drawings. They were married in April, 2002 and I was able to give them the completed quilt in August of the same year (I worked fast!).

Because Keith was so supportive in the making of this quilt, I asked him to sign the label as well.
